Tuwaiq Sculpture
Birgit Cauer (b. 1961) is a German artist based in Berlin since 1999. She studied mathematics and art at various institutes in Germany and Italy. In her rich and diverse sculptures, drawings, and experimental arrangements, Cauer explores the many facets of stone as a material—its possibilities and its limitations—and what she perceives as its essential role in the creation of all living things.
Since the mid-1990s, her work has been exhibited in many galleries and public spaces. She is also a spokesperson at bbk berlin e.V., part of the Professional Association of Visual Artists in Berlin.
