Lockdown Window

Lockdown Window (2023) by Marino Di Proespro is made from a monolithic block of brown granite. It serves as a frame to something precious, with audiences being able to look at the environment through the ‘window’. The structure is twisted on itself with a centrifugal force that gives an infinite movement, while at the same time bearing elements of surreal architecture. This concentric force creates a kind of magnetic energy, and makes it impossible to physically pass through the opening.
