Geh aus mein Herz! (Go forth, my heart!)

In this work, Julius von Bismarck shares his concern about the environment and the way the evolution of humanity has taken over nature. In this film, spectators watch stunning footage of landscapes, seemingly shot from a bird’s eye perspective. Taking inspiration from nature documentaries, Von Bismarck´s artwork manages to confront the viewer, challenging their perceptions of what they think they are watching and the reality. The point of view, the dramatic angles, and the movement result from a helicopter downdraft, disclosing the truth of the impact humans have on nature and wildlife. The video gives rise to introspection and reflection on the responsibility humans have for their actions and ensuing consequences.
