Dust to Dust

Dust to Dust is a sculptural installation that explores the themes of oneness, transience, and self-understanding. Using compostable textiles dyed to mimic different skin tones, and inspired by the organic shapes of sand dunes, the installation serves as a metaphor for the temporal nature of our physical existence and the interconnectedness of humanity. A lighting system within the dune structure represents the movement of the sun, transitioning between warmer and colder hues as the sun rises and sets. The work encourages visitors to value introspection and interaction equally and to contemplate the profound connection that exists between us all, despite our various backgrounds. The viewer is invited to walk around the pieces, experiencing the interplay of colours, textures, and light.
