Dreams? (2022) is a new iteration of an artwork created by Zineb Sedira for her “Dreams Have No Titles” exhibition in the French Pavilion during the 59th Venice Biennial. For Noor Riyadh, the artist presents five artworks imitating vintage cinema light-boxes. Spelling “Dreams Have No Titles” in Arabic, English and Tagalog, they translate the title of Sedira’s humanist project in languages chosen specifically to create a dialogue with Riyadh’s diverse communities. Placed in each hub, these signs punctuate the visitors’ tour of Noor Riyadh Festival, acting as the common thread of light which unifies and spreads the universal message: keep on dreaming of new horizons.
