Ali AlMalky’s Ambition is an installation consisting of four pieces of granite—three vertical and one horizontal. The three pieces rooted in the base—the land of goodness—all point upwards, symbolizing growth and prosperity across various fields of development within the Kingdom. The side elements embody the role of engineering and construction, adorned with traditional Najdi decorations. The space around the adjacent blocks enhances harmony and cohesion, positioning the geometric form as a gateway to the future.

Najdi architecture is indigenous to the Najd region of modern-day Saudi Arabia and flourished between the 13th and 18th centuries. Adapted for the harsh desert climate, it features towering structures, sloping roofs, and central courtyards. AlMalky pays homage to these elements, as well as the architects and craftspeople of Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage.
