Directed by Lonneke Gordjin and Ralph Nauta, Studio DRIFT’s practice is at the intersection of technology and nature. Through the use of installation, performance, and sculpture, they juxtapose manmade and natural structures in order to re-establish a connection with the Earth. Largely working outside of the parameters of museums, DRIFT envisions projects that can inhabit various spaces. The studio aligns every element on the same frequency, whether it be the public, space, or nature.
DRIFT has realized numerous exhibitions and projects at siters including Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2022; the Venice Biennale, 2015 and 2022; The Shed, New York City, 2021; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, 2018; Victoria & Albert Museum, London, 2009 and 2015; to name a few.
