The Lighthouses

Anna Korver’s The Lighthouses (2021) is a triptych which combines elements of architecture with the traditional dress of Saudi women. Her work explores the connection that people have to a place, and how this becomes integrated into the view of the self.

The Lighthouses explores the unique beauty and strength of the feminine perspective through abstract forms. The purpose of the lighthouse is protection and safety, and the artist’s intention with this symbol is to speak to the importance of the feeling of home.
