The viewer’s capacity to create and destroy by their means of perception is at the core of Environnement Chromointerférent. The artwork consists of moving chromatic interference modules projected onto objects and people to virtually transform conditions and forms. This constantly evolving chromatic event – where the spectator becomes author – creates a situation in space where color becomes dematerialized, transfigured, and rendered ambiguous through movement. In this realm of color and light, the shadows, while moving opposite to the lines, initiate a dialogue with the nature of chromatic interferences.
“My practice continuously tends towards a non-traditional understanding of color. In my work, color becomes an action.”
