Development

Klaus Hunsicker’s sculpture consists of a segment of an arch, resembling a curved arrow pointing upwards. This curve symbolises a clear movement in both directions. Like time itself, this sculpture has no beginning or end, offering various interpretations to the viewer. The three elements placed along the arch can be seen as a representation and connection of the past, present, and future. However, they also signify different stages on a developmental path. Each element builds upon the previous one, referencing what existed before or even invoking the past into memory. Everything new can only emerge because something existed before; nothing comes from nothing.
