Cities of Stars

Cities of Stars (2023) is an ensemble of structures that act almost as nests for light. They are covered in textiles that are printed with drawings of four city landscapes: Bangkok, Casablanca, Rio de Janeiro, and Riyadh. Chourouk Hriech invites visitors to wander among her creations, as a journey through her eyes. Her depictions also underline the importance of nature. She has chosen a bird to represent each city: cranes for the Thai capital, storks for Casablanca, parrots for Rio, and falcons for Riyadh.
