A moment of Me

Sahar Khalaji’s work depicts an abstract, yet living being that moves within the context of the contemporary world. The sculpture depicts a single moment in the life of this creature, represented by its body, which suggests continuous movement even in its stillness. At another moment, it may move again, and its body position may change. The soft, curved shapes and smooth surfaces symbolise the complexity of human life in this contemporary time, which emphasises the permanent nature of change and movement that we witness in the world.
