Cecilia Bengolea (b. 1979) is a visual artist whose practice spans performance, video and sculpture. She uses dance as a tool and a medium for radical empathy and emotional exchange and sees movement and performance as forms of animated sculpture.
The Argentinian artist has received notable awards for her works, including the Gwangju Biennale Noon Artist Award (2014) and Prix de la Critique de Paris (2009). The artist lives and works in Paris and Buenos Aires.
