As Above, So Below

Zeinab Alhashemi’s As Above, So Below (2022) is an installation employing hectograms and universal geometry. The seven-pointed star has been viewed as a connection between parallel universes, and was employed by some to symbolize the seven elements of the world. Due to its uninterrupted shape, it embodies the concept of eternity. It is sacred for many people of different beliefs. In As Above, So Below, mirrors are positioned in opposing orientations, displaying various reflections of the individual standing outside the artwork, who is simultaneously reflected inside it.
