About Reem
Born and raised in Riyadh, Reem Altamimi, a. k. a. Tam-tam, pioneers an eclectic style of indie-pop, R&B, distinctive vocals and socially conscious music. She moved from Saudi Arabia to Los Angeles when she was a teenager, and was there influenced by Western pop music. She now balances these inspirations with those coming from her home city and cultural roots.
Reem’s musical career took off in 2012 with her music video ‘Little Girl’. The song was launched on YouTube and went viral, resonating with Saudi’s youth. A decade of further hits has followed, including ‘Gender Game’, ‘We’ve Got Wings’, ‘Blue’, ‘Drive’ and EP Ismak. She released her first Arabic single ‘Insak’ earlier this year.
