Taking the phenomenon of the afterimage (tracing to experiments by Ibn Al-Haytham)— the vision that lingers in our eyes, well after its light- based stimulus has disappeared—as a departure point, we invite an artist or curator to lead a shape-shifting workshop that looks at the relationship between light and the body. In the spirit of the afterimage that remains in our eyes, the group will investigate, through exercises and activities, how light intersects our physical beings, and the points of contact between the biological and the immaterial.
