The horizon line is at once a source of stability and spatial rationalization (consider the laws of perspective), and yet is forever shifting, encouraging us to explore further, to out-run, to dream. The very title of Noor Riyadh 2022 is a testament to this will. How will the festival artists continue to interrogate and unpack the notion of the horizon, evolving at once the fear, anxiety and exhilaration of trying to capture the unknown.
