Name of God

Wafa Al-Qunibit’s Allah (2021) is representative of her determination to speak to both the Saudi and International community, using intersecting and overlapping circles carved in marble and depicting the name of God. Throughout her work, she uses geometric design in order to both preserve and promote the identity of Saudi Arabia. As the world expands and we are introduced to new artforms and practices, her oeuvre looks to the future whilst embracing the past and its traditions.
