The Birth of Beauty

Anna Sosenskaia’s The Birth of Beauty illustrates the cyclic and continuous process of the origin and manifestation of a complex beautiful shape – or a sprout, life, melody, motif, thought or feeling.

It stems from a spiral shape resembling a cloud of the cosmic universe, a grain that transforms as it moves and evolves. The ‘sprout’ of beauty – its beginning – in this composition is a consequence of the movement and interconnection of large forms.

This idea of creating an image of ‘the germination of creative thought’ was inspired by the artist’s young son who, one day while swimming, ran his hand through the water, twisting it into a spiral.

In this sense he is both a little creator of beauty and a source of inspiration.
