Lightart
Spatial art presents a unique opportunity to explore our relationship to space and reality. With his installation Mirage (2022) artist Kaz Shirane projects and distorts reality with stainless steel mirrors, changing the world around us so it appears upside down, enlarged or reduced. Shirane uses the mysterious nature of mirrored steel to explore things which are beyond our perception.
Using light to immerse the audience in a new dimension unlike any they’ve seen before, this artwork will deliver a unique and wondrous experience. By using the reflection of light to bring mystery into the world, the artwork has a nature similar to a mirage on the desert’s horizon, confirming Riyadh as the perfect home for Shirane’s installation.
