Inside Out Riyadh – Light Years Apart, 2024

Inside Out Project’s Inside Out Riyadh – Light Years Apart (2024) is a public art installation composed of monochrome portraits of visitors captured at a custom-built photo booth. Part of the platform’s Photobooth Actions initiative, this iteration aims to foster cultural exchange and shared humanity by showcasing diversity and untold stories through a large-scale mosaic artwork.

Situated in JAX District, the photo booth invites visitors to capture a 90 x 135 cm black-and-white portrait and receive a printout in minutes. Individuals wishing to join the local community in amplifying a message can have their pictures pasted in the evolving collective art installation. Select images will also be displayed in various festival spaces, transforming public areas into canvases.

Through a visual statement, the piece inspires contemplation on human connection, highlighting the strength and beauty of a collective identity.
