Lamia Moraished’s sculpture consists of horizontal columns each 1.5 cm in length and a square cross-section of 35 cm. The columns rest on natural-textured stone pieces. The columns and stone pieces were shaped one after the other so that the columns rested on the pieces and tilted upwards or downwards without collapsing. The work intends to result in the feeling of a driving force that opposes the concept of firmness and solidity and suggests movement. It aims to highlight the concept of progress, and reflects the dynamic development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with its identity that transcends traditional borders towards new and contemporary horizons.
