NONOTAK’s DAYDREAM V.6 (2021) is an audiovisual installation that projects dynamic light graphics on semi-transparent screens, visually distorting the surrounding space in an immersive experience. Part of an ongoing installation series, DAYDREAM, this iteration continues to create immaterial spaces that blur the lines between the virtual and reality. Visitors enter a dark room where nine aluminum frames are arranged in succession, each pinned with a see-through fabric. A projector casts geometric elements onto the screens, the light catching on the sheer layers but also passing through to generate duplicate visuals, while a contemplative soundscape is played. From afar, the floating graphics resemble a light sculpture but as participants get closer, the elements envelop them, making them feel as though their surrounding space is shifting constantly. The installation invites viewers to connect with the universal elements of sound and light, and explore their own interpretations amid distortions.
