The artist and designer Yinka Ilori specializes in storytelling by fusing his British and Nigerian heritage in a distinct, bold, colorful visual vocabulary. With a playful, optimistic and humoristic stance, he aims to make art and design accessible to all, believing in its positive societal impact. Experimenting with the relationship between form and function, he uses the city as his canvas, drawing new spaces to interact and make people meet through his abstract vibrant motifs and installations.
His work was shown at solo exhibition at The Design Museum, London (2022); The Shop At Bluebird, London (2015); The Whitespace Gallery, Lagos (2014); Jaguar Shoes, London Design Week (2013). He participated in group exhibitions at Kvadrat, Copenhagen (2020); Now Gallery, London (2015); Vitra Design Museum, Basel (2015); Southbank Centre, London (2014).
