Born in Leningrad, USSR, Vasilisa Chugunova (b. 1987) attended the Repin Institute of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia from 2005-2011 and she studied in the workshop of the renowned A.S. Charkin, who was honored with the People’s Artist title. She has been a member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists since 2012 and has participated in more than 30 international sculpture symposiums around the world, from Costa Rica, China, Italy, Turkey, and Spain to Egypt, Lebanon, Cyprus, Greece, Switzerland, and more. Her materials have included marble, granite, limestone, wood, bronze and metal. She lives between Istanbul and St. Petersburg.
