Traumnovelle is a militant Belgian architectural group established in 2013 by Léone Drapeaud (b. 1987), Manuel León Fanjul (b. 1990), and Johnny Leya (b. 1990). The group employs architecture and fiction as tools for analysis, critique, and subversion to examine modern societal issues with a multidisciplinary style that heightens ambition and controversy. The trio curated the Belgian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2018 with Eurotopie, exploring links between architecture and politics. They also featured prominently at the Saudi Art Council Jeddah, reinforcing their reputation as provocateurs at the nexus of design, storytelling, and critical theory.
