Pauline David graduated from the National School of Architecture in Nancy, France, with a master’s degree in global design, specializing in glass arts, in 2011. During the course of her education, she discovered how complimentary the fields of scenography, design and lighting design actually are. Finding herself fascinated by the place that light occupies in our daily lives, she founded Light is More in 2014, an agency specializing in lighting design.
Her professional experiences are plural and international, from the MDA studio in New York to Lumières studio in Paris, over the years she has collaborated with renowned architects and artists such as Rem Koolhaas, Sou Fujimoto, or Anish Kapoor.
In 2019, on the occasion of the launch of the Women’s Pavilion project for the Dubai World Expo (EXPO 2020), she was invited to join the women’s team and designed the light show that lit up the façade every day. The show was an event highlight and a luminous translation of the subject “When Women thrive, Humanity thrives”.
