Noor Riyadh
Maryam Tariq (b. 1996) is a Saudi visual artist who specializes in light and 3D projection mapping. Influenced by her personal experiences and storytelling, Tariq creates compelling light narratives that transport the viewer into immersive worlds. She often draws on her formal education in Visual and Digital Production from Effat University, Jeddah, and utilizes a variety of mediums and materials in her practice.
The Jeddah-based artist has exhibited works across the Gulf region and Europe, participating in festivals and concerts under her established new media art agency, The Golden Ratio. In 2021, she held her debut solo show, Remembering the Future, at Hafez Gallery in Jeddah. Tariq’s recent group exhibitions include Noise_Media Art Fair, Vienna in 2024; Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival, Sharjah in 2023 and Noor Riyadh Exhibition in 2022.
