Krista Kim (b. 1976) is a Canadian-Korean artist who has gained international recognition for her innovative use of digital mediums. She frequently uses AI generative software, LED installations, and real-time biometrics in her work, creating immersive experiences that bridge the physical and virtual worlds.
The Los Angeles-based artist is the author of Techism Manifesto, a movement to merge art and technology to create a humanistic digital culture. As such, her work is driven by a belief in the potential of digital technology to connect people, foster mindfulness and promote unity. Through her practice, she frequently explores themes of digital humanism, meditation, and collective consciousness.
Kim has exhibited globally at prestigious art institutions such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Davos World Economic Forum, and Art Basel. She is recognized as a cultural leader by the World Economic Forum and has recently received the 2024 Excellence in Digital Art Award from the Créateurs Design Awards.
