José Millán (b. 1968) is based in Madrid, Spain, where he graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid with a degree in Fine Arts, specializing in sculpture. He has worked as associate professor in the Sculpture Department of the Complutense University of Madrid. In his work he uses new 3D modeling and printing technologies as a sculptural and aesthetic language.
Millán’s works speak of the nature of intimate personal connections through an aesthetic form that seeks to find simplicity through the minimalist line. It is as much about discovering and defining a personal relationship with oneself as it is about connecting with others. His works use volumes that seek a dialogue in space.
