“Felix Frank (b. 1979) is a German digital artist based in Quito, Ecuador, specializing in projection mapping and light installations. Raised in Munich and Paris, the artist draws inspiration from the hip-hop and graffiti scene of the early 1990s in these cities, paving the way for his passion for ‘painting’ with light on building facades. Through highly detailed animations and curated sound frequencies, Frank seeks to create transformative experiences that evoke meditative effects on the viewer’s mind.
The artist holds a Master’s in Motion Design from the BAU, College of Arts and Design, Barcelona. His audiovisual works have been featured in several shows worldwide, including Zsolnay Light Festival, Hungary in 2024 and Light to Night Festival, Singapore in 2023. Moreover, Frank received the First Prize in the International Video Mapping Festival for his work 639Hz at the Constellations de Metz, France in 2021.”
