Collectif Scale (est. 2011) is a French group of creatives from diverse professional and artistic backgrounds. The Montereau-based artists incorporate various technological skills, such as mapping and robotics, into their multimedia installations. They draw inspiration from physical elements in nature, such as the atom and deep space, as well as mainstream and pop culture, and contemporary art.
The collective’s members examine the connections between music and visuals, nature and the future, light and architectural design, and humanity and technology. They try to provide insight into these relationships through artistic exploration. Over the years, they have developed their own language to create playful works, prioritizing audience accessibility and innovation.
Collectif Scale has notably exhibited at Re.Light, Germany (2024), Noche Blanca, Spain (2024), Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival, Beijing (2022, 2024), Waterlight, Italy (2023), LaVallée, Brussels (2023), Exploratorium, US (2022), Lightpool, UK (2022) and Constellations de Metz, Metz (2021).
