Noor Riyadh
Chris Levine (b. 1960) is a UK-based artist who works across a variety of mediums in pursuit of an expanded state of perception and awareness. His work centers on using light, primarily laser—a pure, single-frequency form—often combined with sound frequencies to bring people into the present moment.
Levine views his connection to light as spiritual, aiming to create experiences that challenge perception and evoke wonder. Stillness, as a portal to the divine, is his ultimate pursuit, guiding audiences into a meditative state.
His work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York; the National Portrait Gallery, London; Houghton Hall, UK; and the Museum of Arts and Design, New York. He has also collaborated with Massive Attack, Grace Jones and Jon Hopkins.
Levine continues to push the boundaries of light-based art, earning recognition for his innovative and progressive approach.
