Noor Riyadh
Athar Alharbi (b. 1995) is a Saudi artist and interior designer who works with colors and geometry to reflect cultural heritage in an innovative way. With an interest in the diverse regions of Saudi Arabia, the Jeddah-based artist is inspired by local crafts and architecture, as well as prominent Saudi creatives who blend modernity with heritage in their practice. Her work often explores cultural identity and how spaces affect human experiences.
Alharbi holds a degree in Interior and Furniture Design from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, where her artist journey began with the graduation project ‘Boutique Rudha Hotel.’ The project’s Saudi-inspired design garnered attention and paved the way for her participation at the Noor Riyadh Festival in 2024. Alharbi’s reimagining of traditional arts through interior design can also be seen in her work at the Saudi Design Week, Riyadh, in 2018.
