Lantern

Ali AlJabri developed the concept for his work Lantern (2021) after researching the rich cultural history of Oman. As a sculptor, his work draws on the language, traditions and knowledge passed down through generations. His sculptural work expresses and documents these influences, and the advancement of science, whilst highlighting the importance of language, both written and spoken, as the carrier of this knowledge.
